Often the term “digital” is used as a silver bullet to solve a retail problem, where businesses are looking to scale through the most cost effective means possible. Hypothesis recently delivered a Mobile App to provide the right information, to the right person, at the right time. We partnered with a trading desk, who compete in a market of only 150 high value niche clients. The challenges our client faced included:
- A small market with a number of global competitors in an industry where timing was key to match the buy and sell sides of a transaction.
- Unavailability of key stakeholders required to complete a trade.
- Unable to effectively target clients who may be interested in specific trades without having an intimate understanding of how their investment outlook would have changed over time.
During a 12 week period and a number of experimental iterations, Hypothesis were able to build and deploy a solution to the market within days. Target clients were overwhelmed by the App’s simplicity as it provided clarity to initiate a trade that they may never have been aware of. While this is only the start, it paved the road to behavioural change so that a win-win outcome for all involved could be achieved.
